Dear Bluegrass,

New Year. New Blog.

I’m all about a good resolution (even though I still can’t do a backflip or play the guitar), and this little corner of the internet is mine. My old Kentucky home in a word means exactly that — a short & sweet review of my life in the Bluegrass State. Don’t worry if you’re not from the 270 — we’re all friends here!

I’m currently a stay-at-home-mom/champion to two…label it what you want. I also nanny for a dear family. Whew! Yes, my hands are full. Yes, my heart is full, too. I know how instense bringing up tiny humans can be, and I also know that personally, I need more than just #mondaymotivation. I’m guessing you do, too. My ultimate goal for Dear Bluegrass is to offer everything you’d find if you went to coffee with a friend — wit & inspirational sass, honest reviews of only the best products, outlets of creativity for your littles, and maybe a little DIY/you-just-have-to-try-this-now! I’m a quality meets frugal kind of girl, and I know that I’m not the only one.

You know when you laugh at those child-raising memes or silently salute the busy mom at the store who looks like she’s been in combat today, too…it resonates with you. You’ve been there… or will be. I’ve been a housekeeper, a cook, tutor, coach, hot date, personal shopper, maintenance man, chauffeur, and referee. Sometimes I feel like I’ve lost a lot of what made me who I am, but as I’ve had to dig deeper and deeper, I’ve found that just isn’t true. Child raising and turning your house into a home comes with a lot of different hats you have to trade out, and it also refines you into a stronger version of your original self.  I hope you find something here that resonates with you. I hope you take something away that will make your life a little easier or maybe just more humorous. I hope Dear Bluegrass makes you feel connected.

So live your mom life. Live your best life. Let’s shine bright on not just my old Kentucky home, but wherever it is you are.

With spirit & sass,
